Stanley C. Gurski

Stanley C. Gurski, age 95 of Warren, died Sunday, December 07, 2008 at his home in Warren. Stanley was born September 24, 1913 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania the son of the late William Gurski and the late Frances (nee: Kaminski) Gurski. Stanley was raised in Pennsylvania and moved as a young man to Michigan. Mr. Gurski worked for over 40 years as a project engineer for Fruehauf Trailer Company before his retirement. After he retired Stanley went to work at his next career everyday his love of woodworking took him to his basement wood workshop, where he creating all different types of artisan wood working furniture, frames, and other specialty items. When he had free time Stanley also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Mr. Gurski is survived by his beloved wife Lillian (nee: Zalewski) Gurski. He is the dear father of Robert (Shirley) Gurski, Celeste (Ron) McIntyre, and Kathleen (Ken) Nowak. The loving grandfather of Alan (Renee), Lauren, Bridgette, Derek, Carmel (Chuck) Brant, Elisha-John, Charles (LoriGoe), and Gregory (Adrienne). Brother of Anthony Gurski. Stanley is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Gurski will be Tuesday from 2-9 pm with an evening Vigil Service 7:00 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Mr. Gurski will lie in state Wednesday 11:00 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30 am.
