Susan Kiyomi Evans

Beloved daughter of Mary Semones, Susan was the dear sister of Mary Evans, Bill Evans, John Evans, Donna Evans, and the late Carl Evans. She was the cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and cousins, all of whom adored her. Susan was also loved deeply by countless friends whose lives she brightened with her humor, kindness, and joy.

Known to her mom and family as “the fun child” and to everyone else as “the life of the party,” Susan had a natural gift for making others smile. If there was a gathering, she was the one making sure everyone was having a great time. Susan’s laughter was contagious, her jokes unforgettable, and her energy unmatched. As a child, Susan was loved by her teachers and classmates, and as an adult, she was equally cherished by her coworkers. A sneakerhead, Susan also had a passion for collecting Nikes, adding her own flair and fun to everything she did. She was easygoing, free-spirited, and always up for a laugh.

A true sports fan, Susan cheered passionately for all the Detroit teams — the Lions, Pistons, and Tigers and was proud to call herself the biggest LeBron James fan around. She loved spending time with her family, especially on cruises with her siblings and friends. Summers found her lying by the pool, while many evenings were spent by the bonfire. At home, Susan had her own special retreat her beloved “She Shed” complete with a comfy couch, TV, and fireplace.

Susan loved her family tremendously, especially for her mom, Mary. One of the most treasured traditions she carried on was making her famous Peanut Butter Fudge every Christmas. It was a recipe perfected through years of trial and error and eventually was just like the fudge her grandmother used to make. Susan always made a special batch with peanuts, her mom’s favorite, and that sweet tradition will be remembered forever.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a Sharing of Memories at 7:00 PM, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren.
