Theresa Rose Kazlauskas

Theresa Rose Kazlauskas (nee: Otrompke), age 88 of Warren, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Bortz Health Care Facility in Warren. Theresa was born October 15, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Frank Otrompke and the late Rose (nee: Dresden) Otrompke. She was the beloved wife of the late William Kazlauskas. Mrs. Kazlauskas is the mother of William (Sue) Kane of California, and Thomas (Cheryl) Kazlauskas of Eastpointe. Also she was the loving grandmother of Russell, and dear sister of Joanne Slis, Clara (Dino) Fontana, Edward (Margaret) Otrompke, and Sr. Celia Otrompke. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Theresa was a homemaker who was devoted to her parish of Holy Name while she lived in Detroit, and later volunteered at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Warren. Also Mrs. Kazlauskas was an excellent homemaker, wife, and mother. She took wonderful care of her sons and always made sure there was a full meal at each setting. She also enjoyed sewing and crafts. Mrs. Kazlauskas will lie in state Monday 12 Noon at St. Edmund Catholic Church, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12:30 pm. Celebrating the funeral liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Robert Witkowski. Interment will follow the Mass in Resurrection Cemetery. Please share memories of Theresa at her guest book.
