Thomas P. Donohue, age 78 of Warren, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital - Clinton Township Campus. He was born on July 7, 1933 in Detroit, the son of the late Gordon and the late Beatrice (nee: Ward) Donohue. From a young age Tom's parents fostered within him a Catholic faith as well as a good moral character. This lead Tom to join the Passionist Seminary at the age of 14 where he would spend the next six and a half years. After realizing that religious life was not what God was calling him to he entered law school and practiced law untill his retirement in 1991. Tom not only had a great love for his wife Joanne, but loved spending time with his four daughters and seven grandkids as well as his many friends. Tom also had a great love for reading. When he was not able to read he allowed his Irish roots to carry him to the golf course, where like many before him, he learned how a little white ball could be a source of much joy as well as much sorrow. Mr. Donohue was a beloved husband of Joanne. Dear father of Kathleen, Mary, Sharon (Dan) and Janet. Brother of Mary Ann (Roy) Dirkes and Dr. Paul Donohue. Loving grandfather of 7. A Memorial Mass for Mr. Donohue will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 10am at St. Edmund Catholic Church. Please share memories of Tom at his guestbook.
