Timothy Thomas Pomaville, age 58, of Eastpointe, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. He was born on December 28, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois to his late parents Max and Violet Pomaville.
Tim was born in Chicago and moved to Detroit at a young age. He was a vibrant and happy child, often found cruising around on his big wheel with a radiant smile. As Tim grew, he settled in Eastpointe with his family. He worked in the construction industry alongside his brother Jeff as a cement worker. Tim later went on to work in landscaping. However, his true passion in life was his family. Tim’s life was dedicated to the well-being of his loved ones, always ready to offer a helping hand to family and friends.
Tim was known by many as a “big teddy bear” due to his warm and compassionate nature. He had a heart of gold and went out of his way to assist neighbors and the elderly in their time of need. His kindness and generosity were his defining characteristics.
Tim had a wide range of interests, which brought him joy throughout his life. He had a love for cooking and took great pride in tending to his vegetable garden growing tomatoes and cucumbers. Sports, especially the Detroit Lions, held a special place in his heart.
One of Tim’s cherished talents was his exceptional culinary skills. His family loved his famous chicken wings and beef barley soup, which he lovingly prepared for them. Not just a great cook, Tim was also a fantastic host, making everyone feel welcome and at ease in his company.
Tim had a wonderful sense of humor, which brought laughter and joy to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His ability to make people smile and feel at ease was truly remarkable. In his final months, Tim spent quality time with his family, creating cherished memories, playing video poker at the casino, and seeing his beloved Lions one last time at the preseason game.
Tim’s passing leaves a void in our lives, but his memory will continue to shine brightly, a testament to the remarkable person he was. Tim will be dearly missed by family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Tim was the loving brother of Linda (Jim) Geghen, Michael (Lisa) Pomaville, Sandra Pomaville, Robert Pomaville, Jeffrey (Pamela) Pomaville, and the late Richard Pomaville. Cherished uncle of Jimmy, Joey, Tracy, Michael, and Kimberly. Also survived by many loving great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Visitation for Tim will be held on Saturday, November 4th from 12pm-4pm with a Memorial Service at 3pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093.
