

William “Chilly” Gosik peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the age of 73 after a courageous health battle. Bill was born on November 26, 1951. He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra, his parents Leonard and Josephine, and his sister Pamela. Bill is survived by his sister Patricia Gosik, his brother Gilbert (Ida Lea) Gosik, his niece Melissa Gosik, nephew Scott Gosik, as well as his best friend forever, Annie Schultz, her family and friends. Also survived by feline Penelope, one of the many cats and dogs that were a much loved part of Bill and Sandi’s family over the years.
Chilly worked many jobs throughout his life. He spent fifteen years at his last job working as a Machine Tool Electrician Contractor. He was a member of the United Street Machine Association (USMA). As a member, he participated in many Woodward and Gratiot Cruises, as well as assorted car shows in various cities in the Metro Detroit area. Bill enjoyed fresh air, sunshine, and long walks. He also enjoyed tinkering with things, working on his muscle car and other vehicles, along with reading, watching tv shows/movies, playing video games, and texting with others. Bill especially enjoyed getting together with his family and friends.
The family of Bill would like to give a special thanks to the dedicated staff at Windemere Park Senior Center and McLaren Hospice for their care the last four months of Bill’s life.
Memorial Visitation for Bill will take place on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, located at 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093.
Memorial service in honor of Bill’s life will take place at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2025, also at the funeral home.
Cremation entrusted to D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home. Following cremation, Bill will be laid to rest with his family members at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor’s favorite charity in Bill’s honor.
