Grimshaw, Alfred W., Jr., 90, passed away Tuesday, March 04, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Irene “Renee” (Marmaras) Grimshaw. Born in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Alfred W. Sr. and Doris (Fisk) Grimshaw.
Mr. Grimshaw was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII where he survived Iwo Jima and was awarded a Purple Heart. He enjoyed gardening and was very involved in the 4H Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Alfred W. Grimshaw III of Lincoln, Scott R. Grimshaw of Odenton, MD, Jonathan P. Grimshaw of Bristol and Nancy E. Scanlon of Warwick; sister, Priscilla Tierney; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Betty Jane Lister.
His funeral service will be private.
