

B. Madonna (Emin) Mott, 96, of Barrington passed on May 12, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Carlton “Buddy” Mott, married 61 Years. Born in Stillwater, RI daughter of the late Bertha C. (Andrews) and Leander F. Emin of Smithfield.
Madonna was a graduate of St. Xavier’s, class of 1934 (at age 16) and R.I. College of Education in 1938. She continued her study of music in Boston and taught piano and organ. Madonna played in 76 Catholic Churches in RI starting at age 12. She trailered her B3 Hammond and played County Fairs across New England and New York. Madonna also performed at Carnegie Hall. She and Carlton hosted many sing-a-longs at the house with relatives and many friends, loved to travel with family and grandsons, ski and ice skate.
Survived by her daughters, Marilyn Mott Tolleson and husband Alan of Bristol and Carolyn Mott Jaques and husband Jeffrey of Wickford; grandsons, Zachary St. Ours and Leander Jaques and two sisters, Kathleen Thornton and Elodie Blackmore. Preceded in death by sisters Leah Doyle and Collette Powers and baby brother Leander Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 16th at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Bay, 645 Main St., Warren. Calling hours and flowers respectfully omitted.
