A forever curious student hungry for knowledge, Cheryl grew up in Bristol, RI, where she raised her family. With a knack for business, she worked as an Office Manager at Messier Construction in Tiverton, RI for the past ten years.
She was a strong, intelligent, kind woman who was a strong advocate for others and passionate about healthy living. Over the years she helped coach and train others to do the same.
Daughter of the late Linda Lawrence Sousa Mondina and Louis Sousa from Bristol, RI, she leaves behind two incredible children, Joshua Almeida and Kathryn Almeida, who will miss her wildly. She also leaves behind three amazing siblings: Marybeth Sousa Brissette of Woonsocket, RI, Lou Sousa of Medway, MA, and Lynn Sousa Gill of Lincoln, RI as well as many beloved friends and extended family.
She had a massive generous heart and such excitement for learning. She will be severely missed and forever loved by all who cared for her.
Her Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the East Bay Food Pantry, 532 Wood St., Bristol, RI 02809.
