Born in Ramsey, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Charles and Victoria (Bozian) Minasian, she spent her youth in New Jersey before moving to Warren, Rhode Island. She graduated from Ramsey, NJ High School and received her associate’s degree in Accounting from Bryant College.
Mrs. Doyle worked as the Continuing Education Registrar at Framingham State University for twenty years before her retirement in 1989.
Freda was very involved in St Mark’s Episcopal Church running the thrift store for several years before the church closed. She was a passionate reader and loved George Haile Library and volunteered with the Literacy Volunteers of East Bay.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy V. Freeman and her husband Brian of Warren, RI; four sons, Dr. James Wendell Doyle and his wife Gayleen of Albany, NY, Jeffrey C. Doyle and his wife Barbara of Hartford, CT; Stewart R. Doyle of Warren, RI, Jason E. Doyle and his wife Maureen of Warren, RI; one sister, Alice Cullen of Warren, RI; seven grandchildren, Cassandra Affonso, Rachel Magers, Adrienne, Jonathan, Victoria, Jaquelyn and Audrey Doyle and two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Cameron Minior.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 10:00AM in St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 399 Hope St., Bristol, RI. Relatives and friends invited.
