Luis A. Medeiros

Luis A. Medeiros, age 82, of Warren, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, with family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Alice A. (Gagne) Medeiros, to whom he had been married for the past 60 years.

Born in São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Luis and Evelina (Araujo) Medeiros. After leaving Portugal at the age of 15, Luis initially lived in Brazil before relocating to a Canada, then the United States, settling in Warren.

Luis dedicated 55 years of his life to his craft as a boat builder with Bristol Yachts, retiring in 2009 after a long and accomplished career. He was a proud social member of the Warren Soccer Club and found great joy in farming and caring for animals.

An exceptional cook, Luis delighted family and friends with his Portuguese cuisine, especially his seafood dishes and traditional clam boils. He cherished traveling back to the Azores to visit family and friends, and above all, treasured the time he spent surrounded by his loved ones.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael Medeiros of Naples, FL, and Martin Medeiros of Gardner, MA; his grandson, Kyle Batista and his wife, Janelle, of Bristol; his great-grandchildren, Brooks Joseph Batista and Mila Rose Batista; his brother, Edward Medeiros and his wife, Lubelia, of Bristol; his sister, Fatima Branco and her husband, Manuel, of Ontario, Canada; and several close extended family members. He was the brother of the late Jose and Daniel Medeiros.

His funeral will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at 10:30 AM from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Alexander’s Church, Main Street, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Warren. Visitation will be held Monday from 9:30 Am to 10:30 AM, prior to Mass.
