Anne Lawrence Neuhauser, beloved by family and friends, died peacefully on February 19, 2026 in Alexandria, VA. A native Washingtonian, “Trina” as she was known, was a graduate of the Emma Willard school and Boston University, where she earned a degree in studio painting. Upon graduating, she moved to New York for several years, (an experience she felt all young people should have — but only the young!), eventually returning to the DC area and settling in Alexandria.
A talented interior designer, Trina was an equally accomplished artist. Her painted furniture and original plaster castings are much admired and treasured. For several years, she also ran her own gift store in Alexandria, named C. Schuyler Design.
Of all the places where Trina lived and traveled to, the one which held a special place in her heart was Gloucester, MA, where her family owned a home for many years.
Known for her wicked sense of humor, as well as her generosity, unfailing kindness, and fierce loyalty to those she loved, Trina will be missed.
