On February 21, 2013, ARUNAH ABELL STRASSBERGER of Washington, DC, formerly of Melbourne, FL and Bowie, MD. Beloved husband of Barbara E. Strassberger; devoted father of John Strassberger (Kay), Edward Strassberger (Linda), James Strassberger (Laurel), Bill Strassberger (Agnes), Julie Smith (Rick), Patty Endler (Mike), Connie Owens (Dewey) and Susie Saunders; loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 12.
A memorial service will be held at Knollwood Military Retirement Residence, 6200 Oregon Ave., N.W. Washington, DC on Tuesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a future date at Ft. Myer Chapel followed by interment with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Knollwood Army Distaff Foundation, 6200 Oregon Ave., N.W. Washington, DC 20015.
