John Comella, born February 17, 1929, in Jamestown, NY, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, in Arlington, VA, on March 11, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Pat Comella and the loving father of Chris, father-in-law of Susanne, and grandfather of Sarah.
John attended Georgetown University, and enjoyed a career in banking and civil service, working for the US Customs Service, in Washington, DC. He and Pat were married in Holy Trinity Catholic Church in 1964, and his ashes will be interred at Holy Trinity Columbarium at Holy Rood Cemetery, overlooking Georgetown.
John will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, good nature, and devotion to his family. He will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of St. Ignatius at Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown on March 31, 2023 at 10:30 AM. If driving, you may want to arrive early, as parking is on the street. In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
