My deepest condolences on your loss. I worked with Carol at PHH - she was so smart, professional and thoughtful, a true pleasure to work with. When we won a particularly large piece of business from one of the many Government proposals we did together, she wanted to give me a special gift. Knowing I was a big Mary Chapin Carpenter fan she offered to buy me concert tickets. When I told her I already had them, she instead treated us to dinner and a limo for the night. Her generosity helped to make it a truly memorable night. I will always remember her fondly.

I was so saddened to hear about Carol's passing. Although we haven't been in touch for a long time, I will always be grateful for Carol's friendship and guidance during my early days as a mom. She lovingly helped me take care of our son, Gabriel, when he was just a baby, and always warmly invited me into her home and her life. I know how much her children and grandchildren meant to her, and I hope that her memory will always be a blessing to you all. My heartfelt condolences...

While I did not know your Mother well, I feel like I came to know her through Rich who told such wonderful stories of a smart, tenacious, and giving woman.  Her strength was shared beyond her family and through her family...how lucky we all were to be touched by her. David and I were so fortunate to know Carol for over 30 years and by extension her loving family.  She was my mentor and our friend.  I know that her love for you and your love for her will endure forever after this painful time passes.  There hasn't been a day in years that I haven't said a prayer for Carol.  Not too long ago, I was talking to Carol and she was having a bit of trouble with words and I said to her "Carol don't worry about it because even at 50% you are still smarter than most of the people on earth."
