I am saddened to learn of chandlers passing .he was such fun and was a really good friend when I needed one  all those years ago.
He was such fun and very amusing 

I am in shock I did not even know that Chandler had passed away I remember Chandler from NEI. I still have the Louis Vuitton bag that he gave me as a gift for Christmas I was so blown away. Even after I left we kept in touch until I moved to Illinois and I spoke to him then .  WOW!!!  how time flies. To his beautiful wife and family know that your dad and your husband was a wonderful  man, full of life😊😊😊, he dedicated his life to making a change this country and many people's lives were blessed by Chandler  van Orman  RIP my friend 🕊️❤️🌹✝️🙏🏾

So sorry to hear of Chandler’s passing. I remember working with him at DOE. He had a hearty laugh and zest for life that was infectious. I remember how much he loved rowing. My sympathies to his family. 

Chandler and I go back to the early 60s in DC and nearby Maryland.    Car fun, various parties, various acquaintances. We did it all, continuing through ocean racing sailboats from the Caribbean to Newport RI and Bermuda. He was an excellent sailor, strong as a bull, and could always be counted upon for cheerleading or moral support. We consumed a few crabs and oysters at McGarvey's and Marmaduke's in Annapolis.  Into the 2000s it was "Where do you want to eat lunch?" - the two of us meeting from DC and Annapolis. One of the good guys. I'll catch up with him in a few years. 

chandler and I were class mates at gw high school class of 58  he was one of the few class mates that I can remember great guy and certainly one of the most popular ones sorry for your loss! Ron

I was so sad to read the Chandler's death. I worked with him on the 1984 Ronald Reagan convention and we also used to rent his house at Hidden Valley to ski. He was a very sweet guy. 

Betsy,   Bambi and I were so saddened to hear about Chandler's passing. His wonderful gift for life and oversized personality  has 
been a joy to me and us from the start of UVA Law School over 50 years ago, through Class Reunions, and our visit with you and Chandler a few years ago in Ogunquit.

Betsy and van Orman family, I was so very sad to learn of Chandler's passing. Not only was Chandler a mentor to me, he was a good friend. He was dedicated to his work but he also had the good sense and maturity to never take himself, or others, too seriously. May the good memories of him that we all share help sustain you during this difficult time.

Chandler was a suite-mate in the law dorms first year at UVA.  My one word description is: "irrepressible".  Enjoyed seeing him at the 50th.  He was OK for a Tar Heel.  My condolences to the family.

Chandler and I were suite mates our first year of law school, in the old law dorms.  He loved fun even more than I, and we had a good time.  We saw each other at law reunions, and always enjoyed catching up.  He was a big man, and had a big heart.  One of my favorite people.

Betsy,  Linda, the girls and I were heartbroken at the news of Chandler’s passing. We met more than 30 years ago when I first moved to DC and he was a faithful, loyal and fun friend like no other. Our family recalls with great fondness your and Chandler’s hospitality years ago when you introduced us to Ogunquit and our girls to the proper way to eat lobster. What a great time we had with you two there.  It is impossible for us to eat a blueberry or lobster without thinking  of you two. He was a great man and we are fortunate to have called him friend.  May you find peace in knowing he lived life well, loved you more than life itself and was admired by multitudes. You will remain in our prayers.
