Passed away peacefully on August 6, 2015 surrounded by her children, Bill Weeks and Andrea Weeks Hardin and her "sister," Cornelia Stokes. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore "Ted" Taylor for more than 40 years, grandmother of Kelly Shearin Jefferson; great- grandmother of Andres "AJ" Walker, Jr.; aunt of Dianne Shearin Little, James Shearin, Jr., Denise Shearin and Brion Shearin. Her 90th birthday was to be celebrated on Saturday, September, 12 and on that day a "Celebration of life" will be held at Joseph Gawler's Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington, DC at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to St. Luke's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 1514 15th Street, N.W.
