We are so very sorry for your loss. He was a smart young man And by the sound of it he was respected and loved by many . Chase said he loved his quick wit, humor and his ability to get along  with anybody. Our hearts break for you and we pay that God will hold you a keep you save during this very difficult time. Pagels Family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Jim was very loved by so many near and far. I wanted to share some of my favorite parts of Jim's legacy that I will remember! 1) Jim was always inclusive, kind and welcoming. These are extremely rare qualities in a high school kid yet he exuded it with such ease and generosity. 2) Jim is truly one of the brightest people I have ever met, yet his humility is really what stood out about him. We were in KCBY together and I was confident in high school that he would write for SNL one day! 3) Even in high school Jim had a deep faith and a heart to serve others less fortunate than him. This is the sweetest part of his legacy that allows us to hold hope in our hearts despite such tragic circumstances. Because Jim professed Christ as his Savior we can rest knowing that the Pagels family will be reunited in heaven with Jim not all too far away! Praying for your family and that this hope encourages your heart. 

"13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. I had Jim as a student when he was a student at Coppell High School. He was so bright and funny. Word on the street is that he was involved in a prank involving throwing a life-sized dummy over a bridge at school, of course making people think--at first--that someone had fallen. I believe he was suspended for a couple of days, but I bet it was totally worth it. RIP. Thank you for being a part of my life.
