Dear Joan,  have missed you terribly since your move to DC, and now the final move to Heaven. I know that you and Bill are talking books, both of you such readers, and interested in so much. Take care of my Bill, love you both.

I think of Joan often and fondly recall her joyful and "effervescent" personality. I feel truly blessed to have shared many wonderful book group meetings with her over the past 5 years.  I will miss her, but remember her and her warm and accepting ways.

What a joy it always was to be around Joan. Her wit, wisdom and perspective on so many subjects will be greatly missed.

As my second mother, each wagging finger and word of caution were filled with warmth and love.  The mischief that Ted and I created was always met with part concern and part smile.  I felt she would haved liked to have been a part of it in another time.  Joan will always have a special place in my heart as Mom of my first friend and back up for Scrappy.  May God bless all of her extended family and may we all do what Joan did each day as she lived life to the fullest - Choose Joy!

We have missed her in Medical Guild book group since she moved to DC.  We will have her spirit with us as we meet this Thurs. 27 Sept. She always came prepared with lists of books she had read and read about.

Joan was a very special person in the eyes of many. She will truly be missed by all. May the hope God gives comfort you all as you grieve the loss of your dear loved one.

So hard to accept that one so full of love and concern for others, for learning and life, is no longer on this earth. We have lost the spark and sparkle of our very dear Joan.
