Sam was born July 5, 1926, in Port Washington, NY, and lived in Arlington, VA, Kansas City, MO, Cincinnati OH, and Bethesda, MD prior to moving to Asbury Methodist Village, Gaithersburg, in 2002.
He was in computer sales when computers first came to existence, innovating many of the computer retail functions for department stores. He loved to travel, water activities, was a great golfer, and was an avid fan of the Nationals, Washington Football and Rutgers. He had a great smile, and was always sunny and friendly.
Sam is survived by his children, Patricia (Rich) Weil, Susan (Rick) Gourley, son David Finlay, step children Regina (Pat) McCoy, Lori (John) Kesecker, Skip (Dawn) Trahern and Tracey O’Rourke, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Guild Chapel, Asbury Methodist Village, Gaithersburg, MD on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 3:00 PM. Internment is private at Arlington National Cemetery in the future.
