

Alberta was born in East Orange, NJ, on February 13, 1938, to Charles and Margaret Heintz. She married Warren A. DiLeo on March 29, 1964. Warren predeceased her on May 2, 1992. Together, they lived in New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, and New York.
Alberta dedicated her life to teaching. She taught French, Spanish, and English in numerous districts before capping her career in the Marlboro Central School District. She taught for thirty-six years. Her career earned her numerous awards, commendations, and unmeasurable respect and love.
An avid reader with a sharp, astute mind, Alberta was a true intellectual. She was esteemed for her brilliance, her enthusiasm, and her kindness.
In addition to teaching, Alberta loved baking, and she forged this passion into a lucrative enterprise that garnered her local fame. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and she gave generously to numerous charities.
A life-long Episcopalian, Alberta devoted herself to St. Anne’s Church in Washingtonville, NY. She served the church in multiple capacities for more than thirty years.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott Matthew and Christopher David, and her grandchildren, Winter Rose, Giavanna Rochelle, and Vincent Warren.
Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on February 19, 2016, at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church with a service at 6:30pm.
