Alexander Fernando Castineiras, 32, of Virginia Beach, VA. Passed away on July 18, 2021, Alex was born in New York, N.Y. on March 15, 1989 to Michael and Sonia (Rosado) Castineiras. Alex is survived by beloved mother Sonia Rosado of Washingtonville, and his brother Michael Castineiras. His father Micheal Castineiras predeceased him on May 16, 2016.
A talented, charismatic, young man of many words, Alex found solace in his music, but his true happiness was found in helping those around him. The many testimonies given by those who knew him prove what a true and loyal friend he was. He became known for the love he freely gave, his outrageous sense of humor, and his ability to make those around him feel supported and validated. To know Alex, known by his family as “Pipa Baby” and his many supporters as “Lex Starks”, is to understand what a pure heart truly is. In the words of Alex, himself, “If I love you, there is nothing I wouldn’t do for you.”
Grandparents Julia Castineiras and Grandfather Fernando Castineiras. Mourned by his numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
For those who would like to celebrate his life and memory while wishing him a final goodbye, a visitation will be held July 31th from 4-8pm at David T Ferguson Funeral home, 20 north street, Washingtonville , NY. It is a public visitation, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, a cause near to our dear Alex’s heart.
"If I love you, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do.”
