Daniel P. Leahy

Daniel Patrick Leahy was born on February 5, 1944, to Phillip and Anna Leahy, and entered into rest on August 4, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center. Daniel was born in the Bronx. He worked at Chester Cable for 38 Years. Dan had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need, he loved music, cooking, bartending and spending time at the Firehouse. He was a Parishioner of St Mary’s Church and a longtime member of Monell Engine Company. Daniel was a graduate of Dewitt Clinton High School. Daniel was a loving Companion, father and Grandfather and uncle. He is survived by his longtime companion Marilyn Root, of Washingtonville, NY; his sons Daniel Leahy Jr., of Bloomingburg, NY and James A. Leahy, of Washingtonville, NY; grandchildren, Jack and Christina, Richard, Ashelyn and Raymond J.; sister in law Ellen Leahy, as well as his nephew Phillip Leahy, as well as many good friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 9, 2015, from 2-5PM at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home 20 North St Washingtonville, NY 10992. A Funeral Mass will be on held on Monday August 10, 2015; 10AM at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY Cremation will follow and be Private.
