

Elizabeth C. "Diff" Royer of Washingtonville, entered into rest on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Valley View Care Center in Goshen. Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Lilian C. Goggin Gawler. She was born on August 17, 1917, in Lynchburg, VA, she was 94. Elizabeth was the widow of Galen B. Royer. Elizabeth was a past Girl Scout leader, a volunteer with the American Field Service and a member of the fatty club. An accomplished seamstress who loved making clothes for her family, she was a great example to her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Galen B. and his wife, Lynne Royer of Washingtonville, NY and her daughter, Diane L. Royer of Ontario, Canada; grandchildren: Cindy and her husband, Joseph Lopane of Mamaroneck, NY, Evelyn Pine and John Folks of Washingtonville, NY, Rachel Royer and Michelle Marx of Philadelphia, PA, Colleen Dean-Savage and her husband, Stephen of Ontario, Canada and Laurie Savage and her husband, Corey Skinner of Henrietta, NY; great grandchildren: Tierney, Isabella, Nathan, Zachary, Georgetta, Jessica, Ethan, Alexia and Dawson; and a sister, Jean Lancaster of Tampa, FL. Elizabeth was predeceased by her granddaughter, Sharyn Faith. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY. A Graveside Service will be held in George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11a.m.memorial donations in memory of Elizabeth Royer may be made to the March of Dimes, Attn: ORFR, 1275 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.
