
Mrs. Rehberg is a blessing and a gift from God. She is the epitome of Christianity and the embodiment of Jesus’ selfless sacrificial love. She has been a blessing to so many people and she has influenced so many children. She not only established the foundational knowledge for her students but she also showed them how to love and respect others. She was always putting others before herself and showered all around her with love and kindness. She walked in Jesus’ footsteps. She was His hands and feet. She lived to do His work and be in the center of His will. That is the greatest lesson that she has taught and passed on to so many. 

We are truly grateful to have had her in our lives and her selfless acts of love will continue to inspire us. Our hearts and prayers go out to her beautiful family. She truly cherished her family and they cherish her. We know that she is now singing and dancing with Jesus. She has accomplished her goal!

We were so sorry to hear of Marilyn’s passing. We know she was a wonderful woman who was very much a family person who loved her husband and children and her home very much. She was also a beloved kindergarten teacher in Sacredheart school in Newburgh for many years where I also taught with her. She often spoke of her parents and used to have a saying about complaining. She said her dad told her that her complaints were that of a rich person. So she really tried not to complain too much. I always liked that about her. She was a great believer in Jesus the good shepherd and I know that she is now safely at home with the Lord!

Dear God,  Thank you for the gift that Mar was to me/us and so many others:)  There were so many God - incidences that she was a part of in my/our lives.  When I needed a cheerleader, there she was, when a shoulder was in order, again, Mar to the rescue:)  Her sage advice helped to chart a course of action and "this boat stayed afloat"  with her guidance and friendship:)  She and Harry were the venue for my bridal shower and even helped Mike and me pick the "dream" location for our reception - the Round Hill House.  
Take Good Care of her Blessed Mother:)  Our lives are richer having had Mar as part of them.
May Her Soul and the Souls of our Faithfully Departed, through the Mercy of God, Rest In Peace.  Amen.

Words can not express our sorrow at the passing of my  very good friend.  Marilyn and I were friends since seventh grade. We also went to high school and college together and were in each other’s wedding. Marilyn was so special,
 so kind and generous, always trying to help in any way she could.  I shall miss her very much. My husband and I offer our sincerest sympathy to her husband Harry, their three sons, and to Marilyn’s sister, Ann.  God bless you all.

The first time we met Marilyn was at Bella's wedding shower. Marilyn invited us into her home as guests, but we felt more like family. It's funny how you met someone that you feel you knew them for years. Besides family gatherings, we accidentally met the Rehberg's on our favorite beach at the Cape. We had a great day spending time with them.  Marilyn has such a warm loving personality, when she smiles you know it comes from the heart and it radiates around the room filling it with warm sunshine. Mrs. Rehberg was a voice in my life since young childhood. She was my Kindergarten teacher in the late 90s, as well as my sister and cousins before me. We all have fond memories of Mrs. Rehberg, even up to recently. She was a wonderful cheerleader for  the many accomplishments that we all made from childhood into adulthood. One memory that stands out to me from Kindergarten was when she would sit in the big chair by the windows of our classroom and read us a story. We would all gather round on the rug to listen to her animated voice and personality shine as she read through the library of picture books to her students. I hold that memory dear as I now read to my own students with the same animation and joy. My most recent memories of her are her comments under the photos of my nephews Lucas and Ben. She was thrilled to see photos of our family, but especially the little ones. It is clear that Mrs. Rehberg  sought joy in meaningful connections with children. She has had a lasting impact on me and will always continue to be a perfect example of what an educator is supposed to be. I will remember her today as I read along with my students. 

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Rehberg as my Kindergarten teacher at SHSF.  Her teachings were instrumental to my foundational knowledge, and I am very lucky to have had her as a teacher! It is Impossible to forget Mrs. Rehberg’s love for Miss Piggy, and how much fun it was to have the class decorated for every occasion. Rest peacefully Mrs. Rehberg, you have blessed many children by being their teacher. 

Mrs. Rehberg was my first and favorite educator; Kindergarten at SHSF. Every lunch time I would cry to myself, wanting to go home to my parents. Mrs. Rehberg would always console me, helping me find the confidence and strength to persevere through the day. As silly as it sounds, I will never forget those small but critical moments of compassion. May her spirit live on in the lives of those she touched.
