

Addie Jane Parsons, 68, of Oakland, ME, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Gray Birch Nursing Home. Born in Farmington, ME to Frank and Annie Parsons, she lived most of her life in Oakland, Maine.
Jane, as she preferred to be called, was a graduate of Rumford High School, and later went on to receive her LPN from Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute and eventually her RN from Kennebec Valley Community College. Jane was a highly decorated Nurse at Thayer Hospital in Waterville, Maine. In her spare time, she enjoyed being with her friends and her son, Robert playing card games and watching TV (especially the Hallmark Channel).
Jane was very proud of her son, Robert Parsons, his wife Jessie and her grand daughter Jocelyn. Jane is also survived by her sister Nancy Record, of South Paris; her brother Michael Parsons and wife Rene, of Rumford Point; as well as many nieces, nephews and other friends. Jane was predeceased by her father, Frank Julius Parsons and her mother Annie Marion (Colby) Parsons.
Robert would like to especially thank the staff at Gray Birch, Maine Med, and Maine General for all the care over the last few months. He would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Emily McDonald, Sandy Hebert, and Cindy for being by Jane’s side over the last few weeks.
