Waterville - Carole Pooler, 72, passed away on July 12, 2016 at her home in Waterville peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Waterville on September 2, 1943, the daughter of Noella Rossignol. Carole was educated in the Waterville school system. She graduated from Waterville High School. Following High School, Carole became a licensed beautician for a short while. She also worked at Hathaway, Diamond Match, and Keyes Fiber.
Carole was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She loved going to the beach, playing beano, and loved fishing with her husband Roger and grandchildren Nicholas and Jayme. But most of all she loved spending time with her family who she loved more than anything. Her last four weeks were spent telling them that she loved them every chance she could. She will always be remembered and remain in our hearts.
Carole is survived by her husband Roger Pooler of 28 years; her daughters: Valerie Giguere; Kelley Cloutier and her husband Duane; her sons: Donald Giguere and partner Seth Knapp; Timothy Giguere and his wife Althea and children Nicole and Chris Smith; her grandson Nicholas Cloutier; her granddaughter Jayme Kent and her husband Tommy and their two children Lydia and Owen; her step children Laurel Samson and her husband Robert and their two children Riley and Ryker; Skip Pooler and wife Jen and their daughter Kammy, Suzanne Lee and husband Richard; her extended family: Hugette Schultz, Jackie Evans, Collette Hoff and their children, and her best friend Doris Mathieu. Carole is preceded in death by her mother, Noella Rossignol and special friend, Richard Breard.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carole's life beginning with a gathering and visitation on Tuesday July 19, 2016 from 4 – 7 PM at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 20 at 11 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 112 Silver Street, Waterville with burial immediately following in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove Street, Waterville.
