

She was born on July 1, 1959 in Biddeford, Maine. She was predeceased by her mother, Colleen Marie (Sullivan) Bowdoin, and her father, James Alton Bowdoin. Colleen is survived by her mom, Lorraine Libby Bowdoin and her brother, James Edward Bowdoin of Winslow. She is also survived by her two daughters, Sarah Christine Spencer and partner, Robert Johnson of Valdez Alaska and daughter, Lisa Marie Spencer Williamson and her husband, James Williamson of Sidney. Her two adorable grandchildren, Noah Katahdin Spencer and Seraphim Rosemary Spencer, were the light of her life.
Colleen graduated magna cum laude from Dublin Christian Academy in 1977 and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science from the Univeritys of Maine at Augusta in 1994. She was employed at the University of Maine in Augusta since 1987, where she was a work study student in the mail room, switchboard operator, secretary and administrative assistant through 1994. In 2001 she was named Assistant Director for Bookstore Operations and in 2003 promoted to Payroll and Benefits Manager. In 2008 she was promoted to Assistant Director of Human Resources while also pursuing a masters degree. She was a member of Kappa Chapter, Alpha Psi State~Maine of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a women's educational honor society.
Colleen enjoyed singing at various church functions where she was a member of Blessed Hope Advent Christian Church in Waterville. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends, Gracie Swift, Kim Moody, and Bev Tardiff.
The camp at Kennebunk Pond was a special place of peace and great joy for Colleen. Family member, Jeffrey Bridges, always put a smile on her face with his gourmet meals. Her dog, Kasey, whom she adopted, gave her a lot of happiness and comfort.
A special thanks to her life long friend, Lisa Sinde, who cared for her during the last few weeks of her life and her friend and physician, Marvin Lee of Waterville.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 9 Pm on Monday, October 18th at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St. Waterville. Funeral services will be held at Blessed Hope Advent Christian Church, 10 Pleasant Street, Waterville on Tuesday October 19th at 4Pm. A private Burial will be held at Hope Cemetery in Kennebunk.
