Gene O. Wallace

Waterville – Gene O. Wallace, 82, formerly of Burgaw, NC, died on February 1, 2016 at his home with family by his side. He was born on September 11, 1933 in Alexandria, VA, the son of Isabel (Irving) and Oliver Wallace.

He was an avid outdoorsman who liked to fish, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sandra A. (Sutherberg) Wallace of Waterville; his children: Major Wallace of NC; Robin Stapley and her husband Todd of Waterville; Scott Muncey of NC; his sister Jessie Fowler of NC; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his son Robbie Muncey, Jr.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Monday February 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm Street, Waterville. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt.
