Geraldine Rita Paradis

Waterville--Geraldine R. Paradis, 88, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011. She was born March 17, 1923 a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Roderick) Collins. She was married to Francis Paradis on April 27, 1946.

Gerry was a homemaker and a member of the Waterville VFW Auxiliary. She liked bowling and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was a lifetime resident of Waterville and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her many friends. Gerry was loved by all and will be remembered for her wonderful smile.

Gerry was predeceased by her husband Francis who died in 1974.

Surviving are her 2 sons, Donald Paradis and his wife Rachel and John Paradis and his wife Fawn; a sister Betty Ann Partridge and her husband Virgil; a brother Hermon Pelletier, Jr., and his wife Pearl; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Laura, Katherine, Angela, Melissa and Joseph; her great-grandchildren Anthony and Jackson; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lakewood Manor, especially Casey, for the care she received during her 13 year residency. The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr Mark McAllister and the emergency staff at Thayer Hospital for the care and compassion given to Gerry and her loved ones during her final hours.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Notre Dame Church, Silver Street, Waterville. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
