

Waterville – Gerard Paul Bolduc, 84, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Friday November 11, 2016. He was born in Waterville, ME on May 9, 1932, a son of Romeo O. Bolduc and Valeda (Roy) Bolduc. He attended Waterville High School where he was active in sports and was captain of the Hockey Team. Gerard graduated with the Class of 1950 and maintained and shared his passion for hockey with his children and grandchildren and skated until he could no longer lace his skates.
After graduating he enlisted in the US Navy and was discharged in 1953. In July of 1954 he married Jeanne A. Pellerin and worked as a milk distributor for Pellerin’s Dairy. Gerard later enjoyed a career as a postal clerk for the Fairfield Post Office for 33 years. He was known for his friendly smile and his willingness to go out of his way to ensure that every customer was served to the very best.
Gerard was an avid sportsman who enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his sons and grandson. He spent many happy times with his family at his camp on Indian Pond. He was a special Pepere to his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Jeanne; his daughters: Anne Marie Bolduc and her partner Scott Webber; Maria Bolduc and her partner David Giroux; his son Roger Bolduc and his partner Kristie Backus; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters: Connie Bolduc, Adrienne Cyr, Geraldine Quirion and Pauline Roderick and her husband John; his brother Philip Bolduc; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Michael Bolduc and his two brothers, Rev. Roger Bolduc and Richard Bolduc and his sister Virginia Poulin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 19 at 11:00 am at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 112 Silver Street, Waterville with burial following in St. Francis Cemetery, 78 Grove Street, Waterville.
