Rolande B. Folsom

She was born February 23, 1941 in Fort Kent; the daughter of Alphie and Yvonne (Dubois) Bard. She attended Waterville Schools and worked at Fort Halifax Packing Company for 30 years. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Her passion was taking care of her grandchildren, which she adored, including great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy!

She also loved doing ceramics and spending time going camping with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, three sisters and a great granddaughter Gabriella Rose French.

She is survived by her husband Elwood of 52 years. Her children; David and his wife Robin Folsom of Winslow, Sandra and her husband Dean Harlow of Jay, Elizabeth and her husband Danny Adams of Oakland, Michael and his wife Diane Folsom of Fairfield, Patricia and her husband Adam Mushero of Oakland, Robert Folsom and his girlfriend Lisa Reed of Winslow. Her grandchildren; Derek and Venessa Folsom, Danny Jr. and Jillian Adams, Brittany Corey, Christopher Folsom, Cindy French, Kristie Drumm, Katelynn and Tyler Folsom and Travis Reed. Four great grandchildren; Chassidy Shorty-Folsom, Chloe Adams, Joshua and Henry Onkoba. Three sisters; Rena Lemieux of Waterville, Toni Audibert of Connecticut, Rita Johnston of Massachusetts, three brothers; Lucien and his wife Sara Bard of Winslow, Joe Bard of Oakland and Roland Bard of Lewiston, as well as many nieces and nephews.

We all would like to express a special Thank You to Dr. Carlo Gammaitoni MD and to all the CCU staff at MaineGeneral Medical Center Thayer Unit for all the excellent care they gave to my wife and our mother.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Veilleux Funeral Home from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Notre Dame Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial will take place at a later date in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Rolande’s memory may be made to any organization or charity of your choice.
