Barbara Dehn Hustad was born November 2, 1947 in Wayne, Michigan to Glen and Helen Weaver. She was one of two children. Barbara passed away in Ann Arbor, Michigan, under the gentle care of her former colleagues at University of Michigan Hospital, on Sunday August 12, 2018 at the age of 70.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Ralph Hustad; loving mother of Clifford Cranick; loving step-mother of Tammy Hustad, Timothy (his wife Catherine) Hustad, Theresa Hustad, Taba Vaughn, and Todd (his wife Aimee) Hustad. Dear sister of Butch (his wife Suzanne) Weaver; proud grandma of Veronica Cranick, Adam Cranick, Brian Hustad, Matthew Hustad, Sara Vaughn, Zoe Hustad, Olivia Hustad, Hannah Hustad. Barbara will also be missed by her two very special nieces, Tammy Weaver and Amy Weaver.
Barbara was a Registered Nurse with University of Michigan Hospitals until she retired. She served at both the Ann Arbor Campus Hospital and the new Livonia Campus Hospital. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, reading, crafting, and needlepoint. Barbara could be found listening to some Barry Manilow from time to time while sipping on some lemon-lime Kool-aid. However, her passion was her family. She simply loved to be a wife, mom, and grandma. Barbara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara's family will receive guests for a gathering on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Avenue, Wayne, Michigan 48184.
Barbara's life will be celebrated with a memorial service, led by Reverend Mark Raitz, at 5:00 PM and then the visiting will continue until 7:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.
