Lawrence Stephen Wilkinson, age 83, of Wayne, Michigan passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Loving husband of Jacquelyn for 62 years. Beloved father of Mark (Katherine), Patricia (Ron) Putt, Gordon (Diem), and Mary (Bill) Jacques. Proud grandfather of David, Mark, Tim, Maddie, Sara, Emma, Abby, Nick, Grace, Clare, and Stephen. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert "Bob".
Larry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially playing card games. He and Jackie loved to travel, their favorite trip was to Rome where they were able to see Pope John Paul II. He enjoyed decades of playing golf with the Big 12 and keeping his yard maintained like a golf course. He was a friend to everyone, always eager to help others.
Contributions in Larry's memory are appreciated to St Mary Catholic Church, where he was a devoted member for over 40 years.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 13, from 4:00-8:00pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 34567 Michigan Ave., Wayne, MI 48184, with a rosary at 7:00pm. An in state will be held Tuesday, November 14, at 10:30am at St Mary Catholic Church, 34530 W. Michigan Ave., Wayne, MI 48184, followed by a funeral mass beginning at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.
