Olivera “Olivia” Johnson passed away April 22, 2018 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Reverend Walter F. Johnson. Beloved mother of Tonza (Tyrone) Phenix, Wilda Darkins, and the late Gregory Johnson. Cherished grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 7. Olivera is also survived by her dear siblings Fred (Clemmine) Horton, Ernestine Horton, and Gwendolyn Jones.
Olivera was deeply committed to her family and her community. She always displayed a generous hospitality toward family, friends, and even strangers. She also loved tending to her garden and was proud of the beautiful flowers she grew.
Olivera's family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 4pm until 8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 34567 Michigan Avenue, (Just east of Wayne road) Wayne, Michigan 48184.
Olivera's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 10:00am on Friday, May 4, 2018. Family hour will begin at 9:30am. The service will be led by Reverend Roland L. Toonson.
Olivera will be laid to rest in United Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Plymouth.
