Stanley was the beloved husband of more than 14 wonderful years to Patti Taylor, whose companionship brought him deep happiness. He was a devoted and loving father to Grant Taylor, Angela Bulger, and Isaac Taylor, and a caring stepfather to Chad, the late Laura, and Erik. Nothing brought Stanley more pride than his growing family. He was a cherished grandpa to Jonathan, “Little” Grant, Angel, Elijah, Trevon (Emily), Jazmin (Chase), Jaedyn, Kynlea, Atticus, Dominic, Hunter Marie, Austin, Gabe, Nate, Gabby, and Lily, and a delighted great-grandpa to Avien and Indiya, with another precious little one on the way. He is also survived by his dear siblings Grant Jr., Michael, Carl, Craig, and Kathy, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
A man of deep faith and compassion, Stanley dedicated years of his life to missionary work in Jerusalem and Guatemala, forming meaningful connections and touching countless lives with his kindness and generosity. His faith guided him in all that he did, and he carried that spirit of service into his everyday life.
At home, Stanley found joy in life’s simple, beautiful moments. He had a true gift for gardening and landscaping, and he took immense pride in creating and caring for his lawn—each season a reflection of his patience and dedication. Whether he was planting, trimming, or simply admiring his handiwork, his yard was a place of peace and accomplishment. He also enjoyed painting ceramics, a hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and attention to detail, often crafting pieces that became treasured keepsakes for those he loved.
Stanley was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers, rarely missing a chance to watch a game, cheer them on, and share that enthusiasm with family. It was one of the many ways he connected with others, bringing people together over a shared love of the game.
Above all, Stanley will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his steady presence, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and warmth that will continue to live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
