Alice Irene Davis

Alice was born in Augusta County on August 11th, 1946 to Vivian (Staton) Ramsey and Raymond Ramsey. She grew up and went to school in Waynesboro, graduating from Waynesboro High School. Alice spent over 40 years living in Goodyear, AZ, working for the Public Works Department as a secretary before retiring, and moving back to Virginia. In her spare time, Alice loved to work in the yard, grow flowers and take rides in the country. She absolutely loved being outdoors. Alice was a very strong woman who loved people and was loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Davis; her brother, Leslie Ramsey; and sister, Bernice Ramsey.

Alice is survived by her son, Preston Fry and fiancé Julie Brown of Crimora; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Gander and husband Shawn of Louisiana; as well as her grandchildren, Brandon Brinkley, Allison Fry, and Seth Gander. In addition, Alice is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Ramsey and her beloved dog, Jojo.

Per Alice’s wishes, there will be no public services.
