Calvin Daniel Hewitt, Sr.

He was born in Stuarts Draft on February 24, 1942 a son of the late Manuel and Helen Coffey Hewitt.

He was a former employee of the Augusta Co-Operative Farm Bureau of Waynesboro and Augusta Memorial Park.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Ann “Snook” Hewitt on April 26, 2000 and a brother, James Hewitt.

Survivor include his two sons, Calvin Daniel Hewitt, Jr., Keith Hewitt, a daughter, Michelle Hewitt, all of Stuarts Draft, four brothers, Melvin Hewitt, Elwood Hewitt, E. J. Hewitt, all of Sherando, Lewis Hewitt and a sister, Madeline Almarode, both of Stuarts Draft, as well as numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes by Pastor William Hatter. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Hospice, 17 Parkway Lane, Fishersville, VA 22939.
