

Deborah Gen “Deb” (Barnhill) Niday, 54, of Waynesboro, Virginia passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on December 18, 1963, a daughter of Judy Lee (Barefoot) Barnhill, James Hadley Barnhill and wife, Peggy.
Deb was a member of the class of 1982 at E.A. Laney High School. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Shopping, traveling, visiting vineyards, and crafting were a few of her favorite hobbies. Deb was an artist and she filled her world with color. She had a vibrant, fun loving, and caring personality.
Deb was greeted into Heaven by her paternal grandparents, Henry and Myrtle Barnhill; maternal grandparents, Odis and Opal Barefoot; parents-in-law, Calvin and Marcelle Niday.
In addition to her parents, left to cherish her memory is her husband, Mark Niday; children, Allen, Chad, and Paige Franks and John Bauman; grandson, Pierce Franks; siblings, Jimmy Barnhill, Kimberly B. Rutten and husband, Michael, and Ashley D. Bracey and husband, Dave; brother-in-law, Steven Niday; sisters-in-law, Teresa Gilliam and husband, Richard, Lisa Botkin and husband, Greg, and Mindy Nodine and Grant; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Deb also leaves behind her fur baby, Angel and her four legged grandchild, Henry.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Rd, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980 with Pastor Seth Hankee officiating. Those desiring to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Virginia 22980.
