Donald Eugene Dodd Sr.

Donald Eugene Dodd Sr., age 88, of Waynesboro, Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Donald was born in the District of Columbia to Ernest Benton and Jeanette Irene (Thompson) Dodd on February 20, 1936. He was was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Raymond Ernest Dodd; a brother, William (Billy) Dodd and his best friend Chewy. Donald leaves behind his four children, son, Donald Eugene Dodd, Jr.; daughters, Donna Ridenour, Tina Barton, Marie Dodd, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, He was a farmer for many years in Frederick County, Maryland, and as a youngster he showed steers when he was a member of the 4H, and worked in Warsaw where he tackled the duty of sharpening saw blades bigger than his truck. Donald enjoyed tending to his yard,flower beds, creating masterpieces out of cardboard and anything else he could find, including cars, motorcycles, boats to houses, you name it. He also loved his fur babies Lil Bear and Staffen. Following cremation, there will be a memorial service for Donald at a later date.
