
Doris Lewis Henson, 53, of Waynesboro, Virginia, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was born on August 25, 1960, in Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer E. and Helen Ruth Lewis of Waynesboro, Virginia; and a brother Frank Lewis of Lyndhurst, Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Danny Henson; and daughter, Danielle Henson of Waynesboro, Virginia. She also leaves behind a very special niece, Christina Lewis; and two grandchildren, Dre and Jalen Jackson of Waynesboro, Virginia. She is also survived by two brothers, James Reed and wife, Tammy of Afton, Virginia, and Troy Lewis and wife, Katey of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Lucy Karicofe and husband, Jeff of Staunton, Virginia; and several special nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews in Virginia, Maryland, and Texas.
Her presence will be greatly missed, but we keep in mind those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions for the American Heart Association or charity of your choice.
