Dorothy Irene Fitzgerald

Dorothy “Dottie” Irene Fitzgerald, 82, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born to the late Amos Wilson and Ruby Merle (Snyder) Fretwell on April 16, 1940. Dottie was a member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church and was previously employed as a medical technician with former Waynesboro Community Hospital. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Henry Fitzgerald; two sons, Stacey Lawhorne and companion Sherry P. Lawhorne, Kevin D. Lawhorne; two brothers, Tom Fretwell, James Fretwell; sisters, Juanita “Molly” Coffey and Deborah Lilly. She also leaves a number of grandchildren. Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W.
