Edward Patrick Canning, 85, of Crimora, passed away on Sunday December 29, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Canning was born on December 22, 1928 in Hoboken, New Jersey and was a son of the late Edward Francis and Irene (Lilis) Canning. Edward worked as an electrician for 46 years prior to his retirement. He was an elder of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waynesboro.
On October 25, 1947 he married Diana Craig who survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Canning is survived by two sons, Edward W. Canning of Harrison, NJ, Daniel F. Canning of Elmwood, NJ; a daughter, Valarie Galloway and husband John of Hewitt, NJ; a sister, Geraldine Calligy of Hoboken, NJ; six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 4, 2014 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waynesboro at 2 PM with Gerard Santangelo and David Roberts officiating.
