Floyd Booth Jr.

Floyd Booth Jr., 88, of Crimora, passed away on Friday January 15, 2021 at Augusta Health. Mr. Booth was born on October 15, 1932 in Albemarle County and was a son of the late Floyd William and Grace Leona (Hanger) Booth. Floyd retired from Wilson Trucking after 45 years. He was a former member of the Church on the Hill in Fishersville. Mr. Booth enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, washing and waxing his car, piddling in his building, and eating. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly Pauline (Thompson) Booth on January 8, 2009. Mr. Booth is survived by his children, Bobby Booth of Waynesboro, Donna Tyler of Crimora, Betty Sluss and husband Glenn of Crimora, Brenda Bryant and husband Dale of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Scott Tyler, Michael Sluss, Bobby Bryant, Kimmy Byers, Michelle Sluss, Elizabeth Snell; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Booth was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Brenda Hansen Booth; siblings, Ruby Alice Booth, who was his twin sister, Charles Booth, Richard Booth, Ethel Hicks; and two grandsons, Robert Booth and Warren Dale Bryant Jr. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2 PM at the Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home with the family present, however friends and family may view and sign the register book on Tuesday January 19, from 1 until 5 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
