

Frank Edmond Wright, 91, of Waynesboro passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Rockbridge County on June 26, 1923, a son of the late Blanche (Campbell) and Burrell Wright.
Frank was a patriotic man, proudly served his country in WWII as a member of the United States Army, which he was enlisted for three years. He was employed by DuPont for 40 years as a Power House Operator. Frank was a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and tending to his garden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae (Rankin) Wright, four brothers, one sister, and one son-in-law. Survivors include children, Gaynell Ross of Hickory, North Carolina, Brenda Bosserman and her husband, Gary of Stuarts Draft, and Carolyn McCoy and her husband, Bobby of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren, Cherie Messer and her husband, Jim of Hudson, North Carolina, Renee Talley and her husband, Timmy of Staunton, Annette Cox and her husband, Frank of Staunton, Alex Barnes and his wife, Jennifer of Semmes, Alabama, Andrea Bosserman of Staunton, Chad McCoy and his wife, Donna of Stuarts Draft, and Brian Bosserman of Staunton; 13 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Randolph Wright of Waynesboro and Robert Wright and his wife, Shirley of Waynesboro; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Oak Grove Manor and Augusta Nursing & Rehab Center for the care of Frank.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11: 00 am Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes in Waynesboro with Revs. Dee Flory and Larry Black officiating. Burial to follow at Augusta Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 340. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 6: 00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
