Garland was born in Waynesboro to Cecil and Susie Estes on April 7, 1946.
He retired from DuPont after 37 years of service. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary.
Garland is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Belle; his two children, Jeff (Tammy) and Kelly (Jackie); grandson, Ryan (Gabrielle) and his special buddy, JJ.
All services are private. Friends are welcome to call or visit at their home.
