Jeffrey Alan Fitzgerald

Jeffrey was born in Waynesboro to Elsie and Burl Fitzgerald on September 11th, 1957. He attended Waynesboro High School, graduating in 1976 and attended BRCC for a time. Jeffrey worked at Wayntex Inc for around ten years as well as working as a route salesman for Jesse Jones before starting his career at Walker Manufacturing, where he retired after twenty years of service. In his spare time, Jefferey loved bowling, as well as spending quality time with his brother and his grandchildren whenever possible. He also enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Fitzgerald.

Jeffrey is survived by his brother, Bruce G. Fitzgerald and Linda Hahn of Stuarts Draft; his step children, Wayne Reynolds and wife Heather of Waynesboro, Richard Vance and wife Felicia of Stuarts Draft, and Matthew Vance of Waynesboro. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Sydney and Emma; as well as a special friend, Debbie Neff.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 29th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Paul LaPrevotte officiating. Following the service, Jeffrey will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Pallbearers will be James Atkins, David Craig, Mitch Wood, Dustin Goff, Alex Bretthauer, and Isaiah Gochenour.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.

Although Jeffery did not attend church, it brings great comfort to the family to know that just a few days prior to Jefferey’s passing, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
