He was born September 23, 1936 in California, a son of the late Jeremiah and Mary Mello Crowley.
Following his retirement, he was employed by H&R Block as a tax preparer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Crowley, two sons; James F. Cowley of California, Richard Lee Crowley of Oregon, a brother, Michael Crowley of California, two sisters; Maggie Margaret Lilly and Mary Jane Crowley, both of California.
At his request, his body was cremated and there will no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
