Katherine Ann Herrmann

Katherine “Kitty” Herrmann, 82, of Waynesboro, Va, passed away on March 17, 2023 in the Shenandoah Hospice House, Fishersville, Va. Kitty was born in Schenectady, NY, to the late Robert & Dorothy Gray on November 22, 1940. She went to grade school in Schenectady & Waynesboro. Kitty married Robert Herrmann on July 24, 1981 in Fairfax, Va. She attended the College of William & Mary. She worked as a self-employed travel agent for over 10 years and was involved in Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years. Kitty is survived by husband, Robert Herrmann; son, Robert Gallagher of Los Angeles; daughter, Julia Unferth of Seattle; and step-daughters, Peggy Fetner of Danville, Va., Linda DeHart of Greensboro, NC and Nancy Herrmann of Fairfax, Va. A private graveside service will held at Riverview cemetery with a memorial service to be held at a later date. There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
