Kenneth Virgil Reid Sr.

He was born February 17, 1931 in Virginia, son of the late David Gilbert Reid and Edna Carwell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Leslie Reid a grandson, Robert “Baby Sam” Reid and two former wives, Ruth and Barbara Reid.

Survivors include his wife, Sonja Reid; three sons, Kenneth Reid Jr. and wife and family of Culpeper, Mike Reid and wife and family of Manassas; Tony Reid and wife Sandy of Afton; two special grandchildren, Barbara Darlene Reid and Lily Mae Reid; one step-son, Eric Jordan of Lynchburg; one step-daughter, Brittany Jordan of SC; one brother, Wallace Reid and wife Erica of Amissiville, VA; two sisters, Mary Hitt and husband John of Amissiville and Annie Lee Whitesell of Staunton.

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rockfish Valley Rescue Squad, 11100 Rockfish Valley Hwy, Afton, VA 22920 or St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
